University Of Lodz Doctoral School Of Exact And Natural Sciences

The aim of the doctoral school curriculum is to broaden and deepen the knowledge of doctoral students in their chosen scientific discipline in an interdisciplinary environment that enables them to place the competencies associated with a particular scientific discipline in a broader context. The knowledge and skills acquired during the education will prepare the doctoral student to independently plan, design and conduct scientific research within the framework of an individualized research plan - IPB.

Doctoral students who complete their training at the Doctoral School will be prepared to critically evaluate the results of scientific research that form the basis of scientific publications, as well as to present the obtained results to the international scientific community. The aim of the training is to prepare the doctoral student to conduct teaching work at the university level, where he/she is able to combine the acquired scientific knowledge with the use of the latest methods of communication. 

Graduates of the Doctoral School will acquire the competence to engage in individual and team scientific research, especially interdisciplinary research, conducted in national and international research teams, which will result in the responsible application of acquired knowledge and research results in the innovative economy and for the benefit of society. 

The education under this curriculum lasts four years (eight semesters), is conducted in full-time daytime mode (classes are held on weekdays) and it is free of charge.
