Wykład odbędzie się 10 października 2019 roku (czwartek) o godzinie 11.00 w Auli im. prof. Waldemara Michowicza (budynek Biblioteki Wydziału Studiów Międzynarodowych i Politologicznych Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego) przy ulicy Lindleya 5a w Łodzi.

Prof. Michael Dobson is Director of the Shakespeare Institute, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Professor of Shakespeare Studies, the University of Birmingham, having previously taught at institutions including Oxford, Harvard and the University of London, and having held fellowships and visiting appointments in California, China, Singapore and Sweden. His publications include The Making of the National Poet (1992), The Oxford Companion to Shakespeare (with Stanley Wells, 2001), Performing Shakespeare's Tragedies Today (2006) and Shakespeare and Amateur Performance (2011), and he is a general editor, with Sir Simon Russell Beale and Abigail Rokison-Woodall, of the Arden Performance Editions of Shakespeare. He has supplied advice and programme notes for theatre companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe, Sam Mendes' Bridge Project, the Sheffield Crucible, Chichester Festival Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, TR Warszawa, Mokwha Repertory (Seoul), the Beijing People's Arts Theatre, Teatro Nacional São João (Porto) and Peter Stein.
