Domek do apiterapii w pasiece na EkSocu UŁ

An "apitherapy house" has been opened on the campus of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz, near the faculty apiary. It is a wooden sauna-like room with a mesh floor, under which about 80 thousand bees live and work in four special drawers-rooms.

Relaxation sessions lasting 10-15 minutes, using the beneficial effects of ionized "bee air", which facilitates breathing and has antibacterial properties, have already begun in the "apitherapy house" of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology. People willing to take advantage of such a session spend it in a sitting or lying position on wooden benches placed inside the cottage. Currently, the apitherapy sessions are mostly used by the students, but it is planned to make the house available to other inhabitants of Lodz.

Apitherapy specialists emphasize that just being in a room with bees has a soothing effect on humans. In their opinion, sessions in such an "apitherapy house" can also support the treatment of neuritis, chronic fatigue syndrome or asthma. They also provide vital energy.
