ODWOŁANE - Warsztaty "Lessons from Citizen Entrepreneurship"

The workshops entitled "Lessons from Citizen Entrepreneurship" have been cancelled.

The workshops will start with the presentation of the so-far results of the research conducted by the Network on Citizen Entrepreneurship – in a theoretical and practical perspective. Primarily, however, they will focus on discussing the role of digital technologies in the development of citizen entrepreneurship and development of policy-making guidelines in this area.

The workshops will be in English and they will be conducted by scientists from British, German and Polish universities, including dr hab. Agnieszka Kurczewska, prof. UL – the UL Vice-Rector for External Relations and dr hab. Mariusz Sokołowicz, prof. UL from the Department of Regional Economics and Environment, University of Lodz.

The event objectives:

  • to present the progress of the research on citizen entrepreneurship research within the project, 
  • to present and discuss the cases of citizen entrepreneurship in the studies countries, 
  • to develop the CE research and project practice, 
  • to present the lessons for policy making to support citizen entrepreneurship,
  • to discuss the role of digital technologies in the development of citizen entrepreneurship.

  • 10.15 – 10.45 Citizen entrepreneurship. Lessons from theory (led by Ursula Weisenfeld and Jay Mitra) 
  • 10.45 – 11.45 Citizen Entrepreneurship. Lessons from practice (led by Agnieszka Kurczewska) 

- The process of emerging citizen entrepreneurship. Cases from Poland (Mariusz Sokołowicz) 

- Diverse experiences of citizen entrepreneurship in India (Madhura Dutta) 

- Early feedback from participants on data and findings 

  • 11.45 – 12.15 Coffee break 
  • 12.15 – 13.15 Understanding how technology development has created a move towards citizen entrepreneurship – a panel discussion with invited guests (tbc) (led by Mariusz Sokołowicz) 

- The power of technology to constrain or induce citizen entrepreneurship 

- Digital technology for innovation in citizen entrepreneurship 

- Cooperative platforms as one of the solutions to develop citizen entrepreneurship 

  • 13.15 – 13.45 Citizen Entrepreneurship. Lessons for policy (led by Jay Mitra) 
  • 13.45 – 14.00 Emerging Questions, Q&A, Networks Development
