Since the beginning of the Russian invasion against Ukraine, as the University of Lodz, we have been doing everything in our power not to leave Ukrainian members of our academic community without support. We welcomed over 300 refugees from Ukraine in the University of Lodz dormitories – families of our students and employees. We have launched a special University of Lodz Support Fund for Ukraine, from which aid payments are still being made to our students today.

Ukrainian Days at the University of Lodz is an initiative that is financed as part of the project entitled "Wzmocnienie potencjału rekrutacyjnego Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego oraz rozwój marki UŁ na wybranych rynkach edukacyjnych" [Strengthening the recruitment potential of the University of Lodz and the development of the University of Lodz brand in selected educational markets], implemented by the University of Lodz and funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the Welcome to Poland (2022) Programme, based on the PPI/WTP/2022/1/00025/U/00001 agreement.
