What do you have to do to become a laureate of student grants at the University of Lodz? For starters, passion is all you need. At the University of Lodz, studies are not only about credits and examinations. It is, above all, a fascinating adventure, the map and course of which is determined by students themselves. It is possible thanks to the specialized teaching staff that not only teaches and verifies knowledge but is also able to inspire the students. Student Research Grants have shown this synergy between our experienced researchers and students who are hungry for a scientific adventure. When the latter find scientific supervisors for their projects, all they need to do is take part in an hour-long training on the rules of the competition. After meeting these requirements, they can submit application forms.
The prominent in the majority
Chances to obtain financing are very high. Every year, the competition committee decides to award grants to approximately 80% of the submitted applications. The limit of accepted applications is the result of a detailed analysis of reviews prepared by the experts from the University of Lodz. And these are getting higher and higher every year. The applications prepared by the students are at a very high level, and the planned research tasks and cost estimates are surprisingly good. The experience of running one’s own research project becomes something obvious for the University of Lodz students, a permanent element of the path of study at the University of Lodz.
Forge of specialists
Young grant recipients can, through implementation of their projects, practically apply the knowledge gained during their studies. They have the most advanced research equipment and extensive scientific infrastructure at their disposal. Thus, the laureates of Student Research Grants can implement the acquired knowledge already at the stage of studies, and then use it during their doctorate or work.
