28 naukowców z Ukrainy otrzyma stypendia na UŁ

The call for applications for scholarships for researchers from Ukrainian financed as part of the 2% increased subsidy for the University of Lodz for its participation in the Excellence Initiative – Research University competition has come to an end. University of Lodz will host 28 Ukrainian researchers at 9 of its 12 faculties. The amount allocated for this purpose is almost PLN 864,900.

The Ukrainian researchers will be hosted by the following faculties: Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection (4), Faculty of Philosophy and History (3), Faculty of Law and Administration (3), Faculty of Economics and Sociology (6), Faculty of Educational Sciences (2), Faculty of Management (4), Faculty of Philology (3), Faculty of Geographical Sciences (2) and the Faculty of Chemistry (1).

So far, the funds from the IDUB competition have allowed us to consistently strengthen the scientific condition of the University of Lodz. This will not change, but this time we also ensure safety and comfort of work for our Ukrainian colleagues. I am very glad that we have managed to organise and carry out this competition so quickly. I wish all scholarship holders that this is the beginning of a better path, in every sense of the word

says Rector of the University of Lodz, prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska.

The main criterion for selection was the scientific level presented by the candidates. Almost 50 applications were submitted. The application evaluation process was conducted in cooperation with the Rector's Representative for the IDUB competition (prof. Rafał Głowacki), the UL Science Centre and Deans of individual faculties. The researchers will soon meet with Rector Elżbieta Żądzińska and start cooperation with #UniLodz researchers.

We have already written about the competition..
