About us

The Centre's tasks include the comprehensive management of the circulation of documentation at the University, the running of the Main Office and the University of Łódź Archives.

The Centre includes:

The University of Lodz Archives, whose tasks include collecting documentation of archival value created in the activities of the University and its affiliated units; protecting the stored documentation against destruction, damage or unauthorised access; processing the stored documentation, including the creation of registers; making the documentation available in accordance with the law and the University's internal regulations; supervising the disposal of non-archival documentation in accordance with the applicable standards and procedures; cooperating with external institutions in the area of archiving and implementing modern solutions in the area of documentation digitisation and archive resources management.

The Main Office, whose tasks include coordinating the circulation of documentation, including supervising its timely and correct flow; receiving, registering and decreeing documents and delivered mail; providing comprehensive postal services to the University, including organising the dispatch and collection of correspondence; providing press subscriptions for the central administration units and dealing with matters relating to the ordering, recording, storage and control of official stamps; handling the process of certifying graduation diplomas and publishing notices and obituaries in the press on behalf of the central administration units.
