The employees of the Department of Insurance conduct research, teaching and organizational activities.
The basic research area of the employees of the Department of Insurance is broadly understood insurance. The scientific interests of individual employees are diverse and include, among others: economic, social, actuarial and legal aspects of business insurance, social insurance, health insurance, agricultural insurance, the process of insurance distribution, issues of public procurement in insurance, management in risk conditions. The spectrum of interests of the employees of the Department also includes the application of quantitative methods in the analysis of socio-economic phenomena (such as the labor market, demography, bankruptcy of enterprises), financial management of public health care facilities, awareness and financial decisions of consumers on the insurance market, issues of insurance accounting.
