About us
Mission of the Institute of Logistics and Computer
Science
The mission of the Institute of
Logistics and Computer Science is to conduct high-quality scientific research
and educate future specialists in the fields of logistics and economic computer
science. The Institute aims to bridge theory with practice by providing
innovative solutions that support the development of a knowledge-based economy.
A key goal is also to develop collaboration with the business sector, public
administration, and research institutions both domestically and
internationally.
Vision of the
Institute of Logistics and Computer Science
The Institute of Logistics and
Computer Science aspires to be a leading research and scientific center in the
fields of logistics, supply chain management, and economic computer science. It
seeks to create modern trends in science and education by utilizing innovative
technologies and an interdisciplinary approach to research. In the long term,

Bachelor’s
Degree in Logistics
In the Logistics program,
students acquire advanced knowledge in the operation of modern enterprises
(operating in the transport, forwarding, and logistics sector), skills for
solving logistical problems (with significant support from IT tools), fundamentals
of economics and management, and the organization of businesses in the context
of sustainable development challenges in both enterprises and the economy.
The integration of theory with
practice is a key feature of the Logistics program. Students participate in
study visits to TSL (Transport-Forwarding-Logistics) industry companies,
lectures led by practitioners, workshops, and panel discussions with the representatives
from the public institutions and logistics companies.
Students can pursue their
interests within the following specializations:
- Cross-border logistics,
- IT support for logistics decision-making,
- Logistics in the enterprise,
- Resources in supply chains.
Master's
Degree in Logistics in the Economy
The curriculum of the Logistics
in the Economy program takes into account the multifaceted nature of logistics
and focuses on an efficiency-driven approach to logistics. The student gains
in-depth knowledge and skills in strategic and tactical logistics management,
including the ability to identify problems in logistics systems, assess risks,
and solve them using current logistics methods and IT tools.
Students have the opportunity to
independently design part of their study program by choosing a master's seminar
and selecting courses from a wide range of elective subjects (including those
taught in a foreign language).
Business
Informatics the first degree studies
The field of study of Business
Informatics with a practical profile was created in order to match the
curriculum of the students with the needs of the labour market in the field of
IT specialists.
Students gain skills in
information systems design, development and testing, learn the principles of
working on information systems in Agile methodologies, develop analytical
skills. In addition, they learn about various aspects of social and economic life.
Students plan their career path
by choosing one of the following specialties:
- Information systems analytics - the analytical path is often chosen by those who prefer to work in contact with another human being and require a very good understanding of business processes;
- Business application programming - the programming path is optimal for those who realize themselves in implementing algorithms and working in smaller teams;
- Databases - the database path combines analysis and programming and relates them to the database area.
