dr Andrzej Raczko

Member of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland (2010-2016)

Andrzej Raczko graduated in econometrics at the University of Lodz. Since the 1990s, he has been associated with the banking sector. He worked, inter alia, in LG Petro Bank S.A., where he was a member of the Management Board – Bank Director; in 1999-2001 in PKO BP he managed a mortgage bank project; in 2003 he was a Vice President of BGŻ SA. In 2001-2002, he was a Deputy Minister of Finance responsible for public debt management, negotiations with the European Union and cooperation with international financial institutions. In the final phase of preparations for Poland's accession to the European Union, he served as a Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland (2003-2004). After 2004, he worked at the International Monetary Fund as a Deputy Executive Director and then Visiting Scholar. He also served as a Chief Economist and Director of the Market Analysis Department at the Financial Supervision Commission.
