Katarzyna Ranoszek-Soliwoda, PhD, DSc. is a chemist and specialist in the field of preparation, functionalization, physicochemical characteristics and safety of nanomaterials. Has many years of experience in the field of preparation, modification and metrology of nanomaterials in colloidal and powder form. Her scientific work concerns the development of hybrid organic-inorganic functional nanoparticles for biomedical applications and the correlation of the properties of metallic nanoparticles with their biological activity and toxicity. She is the co-author of 56 scientific publications in journals from the Philadelphia List in: Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Toxicology in Vitro, Toxicology Letters, Viruses, Langmuir cited over 1400 times in the Scopus database and the Hirsch index is 19. She has carried out many scientific projects in the field of nanotechnology, nanomaterials, functional nanoparticles for applications in electronic systems and biomedical applications. Currently, her scientific interests are related with the development of effective antiviral preparations based on metallic nanoparticles and compounds of natural origin for the treatment and prevention of herpes lesions caused by HSV infection. She is the investigator of many national and international grants regarding the preparation, functionalization and physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials.

2023 - Award of the Rector of the University of Lodz, team teaching award of the first degree for series of publications titled: “Preparation, physicochemical characterization and application of nano-bio-materials”.

2022 – Award for the best publication of the Dean of Faculty of Chemistry University of Lodz.

2021 - Award of the Rector of the University of Lodz, team award for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of exact sciences for the series of publications entitled: ”Preparation and application of nanomaterials, according controlled chemical surface processes” and implementation of the invention.

2020 - Award of the Rector of the University of Lodz, team teaching award of the first degree for preparing the engineering course Chemistry of materials and nanotechnology.

2018 - Award of the Rector of the University of Lodz, team award first degree for a series of publications entitled: “Preparation and physicochemical characterization of nanostructured materials”
